The year was 2014. It was April and had been a very rough year right from the start, the worst being that my father had just passed away. April 15, 2014 at exactly 4:15pm, I watched helplessly as my father slipped away from this earthly existence. I remember holding onto his hand, desperately wishing that there was something I could do to ease his pain. As I sat there beside him, along with my mother and four siblings, I silently prayed, “Dear God, if it be possible, please let me take on some of his pain. Later that same night, I was awakened by the most intense pain I had ever experienced. My head. I couldn’t even budge it without excruciating pain. I lay there letting out a soft whimpering sound, as I dared not move my head. I had had migraines before, but nothing like this. The pain lasted for days. My husband took me to our regular physician, but nothing helped. After eight days and no improvement, he took me to see a naturopath doctor in Alabama. His name was Dr. Reed Sainsbury. We had seen him before several times, and by now he was also a good friend. Once in his office he gave me some drops to take. On the bottle was simply the word, “Headache”. He told me to take 8 – 10 drops every hour. I was taking them the whole ride home. (the drive was several hours) Before reaching home, my headache went from a ten to a two. No joke. The pain dropped rapidly. By the time I reached home, the headache was completely gone! After more than a week of intense pain, it was finally gone! I was able to move without pain for the first time in days!! By now it was Holy Saturday. It wasn’t until Easter Sunday that I realized that God had answered my prayer! He allowed me to suffer with my father, and by Easter Sunday, He had relieved me of that pain. That Monday was my father’s funeral. I’ve used these drops for my headaches ever since, and they always help.
Those drops can be purchased from https://www.vitaliving.com/standard-enzyme-co
and they are called “Headache” I hope this information can help someone else who also suffers from headaches.
Okay, everyone – lately I’ve been getting into CAKES! Baking cakes, decorating them, using fondant, and creating awesome cakes that would just blow your mind! Yep, I’m really getting into that…one day…maybe ? Okay, so I would love to learn how to make some of these amazing cakes that are just so eye-popping that people can hardly believe they’re really cake until you cut into it. But in reality, my cake decorating skill – well, let’s just say it needs work! But after watching some of the videos on youtube, I’ve really become inspired to try my hand at it. Fondant and all. Maybe it’s because my son’s 15th birthday is coming up soon and he wants something different – he wants a Fidget- spinner cake – that really spins!! So, I’m not sure how it will come out, but I’m going to try my hand at it. I’ve been watching videos to learn how to do this. If anyone has suggestions or pointers, I’d really appreciate any advice you have. The party is on September 1, so I have some time for trial and error . Wish me luck! Here is the video on how to make the fidget-spinner cake. Oh, and if you don’t know what a fidget spinner is, don’t worry. I think you have to be the mom of a teen or pre-teen to know. Without further ado, here is the video:

Every July Fourth (Independence Day) our family celebrates by having a big family gathering at our house with lots of fun and food. We usually pick up Popeyes chicken and sides for the lunch, and I always make my famous “Flag cake”. This year we will be having some games as well, with prizes of course. You know, the classic, “Guess how many M & M’s in a jar (or whatever candy I decide to use) The winner of that one wins the jar of candy. I am also planning on having a door prize. I haven’t yet purchased the prize for that one. I plan to simply have everyone write their names on the provided Flag cards which I’ve made, (link for that below) and then will have them put them in a bowl for a drawing. I just love doing stuff like that! I love to give and to bring happiness to others. The best part of all is that no one has any idea that these things will take place!
The above video brings home the real reason why we celebrate on this day. Games, fun, and prizes are all okay, as long as we remember why we are celebrating in the first place. I will be showing this video at the party so that everyone there will remember why they have gathered together on that day . People have given their lives so that we may be free. How awesome is that! I hope you all have a wonderful July Fourth, however you choose to spend it!
